Trades Sorted ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

This policy applies to all information collected through our website at trades-sorted.co.uk, including our waiting list sign-up form.

Who we are

Trades Sorted is a pre-launch startup based in the United Kingdom. We are currently operating in beta and collecting waiting list registrations. For any privacy-related questions, please contact us at the address listed at the bottom of this policy.

What data we collect

When you sign up to our waiting list, we collect:

• Your email address (required)
• Your first name (optional, if provided)
• Your WhatsApp number (optional, if provided)
• A record of your consent, including the exact wording you agreed to and the date and time you submitted the form
• Basic technical information such as your browser type and country (collected automatically by our form provider)

We do not collect payment information or any sensitive personal data. The first name and WhatsApp number fields are entirely optional. You can sign up with an email address only.

How we use your data

We use your data solely to:

• Notify you when Trades Sorted launches or enters beta
• Send occasional updates about the product's development (no more than once a month)
• Respond to any enquiries you send us

We will never sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than the above.

Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data on the basis of your explicit consent, given when you ticked the consent checkbox and submitted our waiting list form. We log a timestamp and the exact consent wording at the point of submission as a record of that consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing using the link in any email we send you, or by contacting us directly.

Who we share your data with

The personal data you submit is stored and processed by Formspree, our form processing provider. Formspree is GDPR-compliant and processes data in accordance with their own privacy policy. If you provide a WhatsApp number, we may use Twilio to send a single launch notification. Twilio's privacy policy applies to that communication. We do not share your data with any other third parties.

How long we keep your data

We will retain your waiting list data (email address, first name if provided, WhatsApp number if provided, and consent record) until you unsubscribe, or for a maximum of 24 months from the date of sign-up, whichever comes first. After this point, your data will be permanently deleted.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Object to our processing of your data
• Request that we restrict our processing of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

Our waiting list page does not use tracking cookies or analytics at this time. We may introduce analytics in future, at which point this policy will be updated and you will be informed.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated to waiting list members by email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
